Preamble

Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya was established in 2015 under a state legislative promulgation. In its journey since last 6 years, the University has been making continuous endeavor to live up to its vision to be leader in shaping better future for mankind through quality education, training and research. To this effect, the University has introduced several new programmes and opened new constituent institutes.

To augment the efforts by all the sixteen constituent institutes of the University in serving the society through shaping youngsters and arming them with contemporary knowledge, skills and attitudes in line with global demand at large and of the nation in particular, it is imperative that newer programmes developed and new institutes opened from time to time.

It is in this context that a new constituent institute, namely Shri Vaishnav Institute of Professional Studies (SVIPS) is proposed to be established within the precincts of Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwavidyalaya (SVVV).

Need of a Separate Institute

At present, the University runs MBA programmes in different streams, catering to a large and general cross section of graduates from disciplines like Science, Arts, Commerce, Engineering, etc. These programmes are as such open to all recognized graduates and therefore are designed to provide inputs which are general in nature, keeping in mind the diverse academic background of the students. The students who acquire these MBA degrees are mostly placed in functions and organisations which hardly require application of engineering knowledge and principles. Even when a student takes up a managerial role in an industry, he/she struggles without a background of engineering education.

On the other hand, there are a large number of engineering graduates of the country who, it is felt, are inclined to utilize their learning and apply them for optimization of complex processes, systems, or organizations by developing, improving and implementing integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information and equipment, using management principles. With the opening of SVIPS, these students will therefore have an opportunity to acquire techno-managerial knowledge and skills which are necessary for a large industrialised country like ours, and shall be significantly more effective in managerial roles in an industrial establishment.

Opening the admission of only qualified degree holders in engineering, SVIPS will perhaps be the only institute of its kind in the entire state of Madhya Pradesh, and among very few offering exclusive programmes to engineers in the country.

Thus, SVIPS will thrive for excellence by promoting quality education and will attract meritorious students. SVIPS will be a trendsetter among the constituent institutions of the University in terms of having quality students with high quality curriculum befitting the intake.
