Shri Vaishnav Institute of Information Technology is a premier institute established after thorough research and with a professional attitude through a team of highly qualified professionals with a wealth of experience from technical and professional backgrounds.

The Institute has objective to evolve strong research programs in a plenty of areas where information technology shall provide a common link with profound emphasis on development of technology and its applications. The prime focus is to promote the effective integration of technology with state-of-the-art facilities in teaching and research activities. The Institute has always established a strong industry-institute relationship with top IT industries. Institute has collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Microsoft for students to study Industry Relevant curriculum.

Our University has collaborated with The International Business Machines Corporation (IBM's Software Group) to roll out degree programs that are jointly developed and certified to make sure the students have the best from the both the worlds of Academia and Industry. These programs are intended to bridge the gap between the Industry and Academia. IBM has setup an IBM Big data Analytics and IBM Cloud Computing Lab in the University campus. The program is delivered by IBM subject matter experts. Benefit of collaborated programs is to learn latest software content, real-world industry experiences, and hands on lab courses, best practices and case studies for the students. Students can access to various IBM centers for live industry experience as well as get an opportunity to visit IBM centers for live industry experience.

Curriculum has been designed carefully to meet the requirements of the IT industries. Industry oriented curriculum allows the student flexibility in selecting courses and projects. Students even at the under graduate level, get to participate in research and technology development. As a result, a vibrant under graduate program co-exists with a strong post graduate program.

The placement record of the Institute had always been impressive. The faculty members are highly motivated and devoted in delivering the highest quality professional education to students, and strive to excel in their research areas or first-hand professional experience to their teaching.

Institute is having student chapter of Computer Society of India. The Institute has a track record of organizing various seminars, workshops, symposia and conferences in areas of emerging technology. Institute has number of computing laboratories equipped with modern hardware and software including specialist facilities for networking, Cloud Computing, Graphics and Multimedia etc. The Institute has technical departments of Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Software Development Cell, Computer Hardware & Maintenance (CHM) cell and Network Cell. Whole campus is automated on ERP to ensure institute’s function at its maximum potential and transparent. Academic work of the Institute like attendance, Result, and other activities are fully automated on ERP.

Welcome you all in the SVIIT, on behalf of the entire Shri Vaishnav Vidyappeth Vishwavidyalaya community. We, at SVIIT, nurture young talents in different fields of Information Technology. Our major emphasis of imparting training is to encourage curiosity and innovativeness among our students and lay a foundation from where they can acquire quick learning ability with the fast changing technology. We not only strive to train the students to become excellent scientists, technologists, thinkers and leaders of the society, but also help them mould themselves into better human beings.

Computer Engineering focuses on basic elements of computer programming and networking where one gains knowledge of design, implementation and management of information system of both hardware and software. Increasing numbers of software firms and IT hubs like “Silicon Valley” indicates an increasing demand for CSE experts. Concepts like ‘Cloud Computing’ upon which future technologies will be based, also need specialists in this domain. New research areas like Grid Computing, Quantum Computing are also evolving in India gradually. Students can also launch their independent start-up firms.

Student of Information Technology can work as an engineer responsible for operating computer system, software, servers, computer networking or networks securities. The programs focus on designing, developing, researching and testing software as well as digital hardware. IT also deals with concepts of information security and web systems. The job profiles include IT-Consultant, Business Analyst, System manager, System Developer, Database Administrator and System Testers and work in almost all domains.

All our programs are flexible and modern. They offer superb research training along with a strong and up to date curriculum of course work. Our laboratories are equipped with state of the art equipment and software. They provide a very stimulating environment and are kept open round the clock. Our campus is superbly networked with excellent speed of internet accessibility. We have a healthy student to faculty ratio.
