THREE DAYS WORKSHOP AT SVVV

(July 27-29, 2017)

Mechanical Department is pleased to from that under the signed MOU between Shri Vaishnav Vidyapeeth Vishwvidyalaya, Indore and St. Cloud State University, Minnesota, USA. A three days workshop has been organized with Dr. Kenneth Miller to deliver expert lecture on Automotive Engineering to our students and faculty members. His main deliberation was on automotive material selection, robotic welding techniques, spot welding and coating for alumina and tool design system.

On the Day of arrival (28-07-2017) of Dr. K. Miller, Mr. Sunil Chaurasiya, Mr. Sunil Pipliya and Mr. Santosh Yadav were present to receive the Guest at airport. On 29-07-2017, formal interaction of guest held with VC Sir (Dr. Upinder Dhar) and the Director Sir (Dr. Namit Gupta) about Dr. K. Miller detailed schedule. Dr. Miller visited the campus as well as all the departments on same day and he interacted with students of Mechanical and Automobile Engg. Dept. especially with BAJA team. Then there was interaction with Faculties and staff of Mechanical Engg held at Seminar Hall of MBA department. Dr. Miller delivered lecture on ‘Teaching Methodology a Globalized Perspective’. The outcome of this lecture helps to our faculty members to develop good concept about Teaching Methodology like (thorough preparation); organized content (lesson planning); good quality and optimum quantity sequence relevance learner oriented. Afterwards Dr. Miller visited Mandu with same faculty members on 30-07-2017.

Next day, on 31-07-2017, Dr. Miller interacted (regarding MOU signed between SVVV and St. Cloud University) with the students, Faculties and technical staff of ME/AU in SVVV Auditorium. In second session of 31-07-2017 Dr. Miller delivered lecture on ‘automotive material selection, robotic welding techniques, spot welding, coating for alumina and tool design system’. The lecture was appreciated by the Students were very much satisfied by his lecture delivering style.

Summary of the workshop discussion

Finally, the Mechanical Engineering department concluded that various salient points described by Dr. Miller will be very effective for teaching learning and same will be applied by our Faculty members. At last, Dr. K. Miller agrees to come in month of February with some new ideas.
